A LIVING LEGACY
The GM Community Outreach Center is dedicated to the legacy of Dr. E.V. McGee. He served as the pastor of Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ for over 50 years. He has dedicated his life to the church and community as a whole. During his time in Bakersfield, Pastor McGee earned several community awards, served in the Korean War, and was a member of the police liaison committee for several years fighting for the rights of the underserved. He is noted for being the first African-American electrician to be hired by the city of Bakersfield and one of the first African-American electrical contractors for the city. Dr. McGee has provided shelter and fed many in need. He mentored several preachers and teachers of the community. Married for over 61 years, he has proven to be an enduring husband, father, and grandfather to his family. He is a man worthy of love, honor and respect. He accredits all of his accomplishments to having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Dr. E.V. McGee is definitely living proof that serving the Lord yields an abundant life!
FOREVER LOVED.
To the side of several great men there have been wonderful wives who contributed to their development and progression. This is true in the case of Dr. E.V. McGee. Thank you Mother Blanche McGee for your servitude in the ministry of Christ and the support of your husband and children. You helped make the difference in serving God. You are an excellent mother! You have been a great influence in my life! I love you so much!

DAD AND MOM MCGEE
MY LADY AND MY QUEEN- PAMELA MCGEE
I would like to thank my wonderful wife who has been with me in matrimony for the past 19 years. During the good times she has loved me: during the bad times she has forgiven and endured me, and now during this season of ministry, development and growth, she works along side me. She is truly the queen that reigns on the throne of my heart. She is a wonderful wife, mother, and saint. I tell people all the time that she has been a better wife than I have been a husband. Pamela is a Proverb's woman in its' maximum form who sharpens me. I truly love and cherish her. Long live the queen!
With all my love, Pastor Kelvin McGee
GOD GAVE ME GRACE AGAIN.
BISHOP SAMUEL DOYLE
To a wonderful bishop and leader of the California Valley Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ. A man who showed me compassion, understanding, wisdom, love and a listening ear during this serious transition in my life to outreach ministry. I will always love you bishop.
